Dr. Haghverdian is passionate about optometry and absolutely loves and enjoys her profession! Her enthusiasm translates in every exam and is apparent to all her patients. The doctor is commended for the tremendous time she spends with each patient and the thoroughness of her exams. Each and every single patient that she sees is special to her and she treats their health and well-being with the uttermost importance. She empathizes with her patient's needs and believes in the human touch.
Optometry is beyond the eyes and she enjoys educating patients who believe its “just” an eye exam. Dr. Haghverdian has been a dedicated member of the optometric community in the San Fernando Valley since 2006. Her passion for optometry began while working as an optometric assistant in the front office of a private practice in Burbank, CA. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts from California State University Northridge, Cum Laude, she further pursued her passion and received her Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry with Cum Laude honors. For the past 17 years, Dr. Haghverdian has worked her way through the various levels of care with patients. It is her extensive background that gives her the passion for health, well-being, and overall happiness of her patient's eyes. She is now ready to share her wealth of knowledge in her brand-new office! |
SCHOOL SCREENING
Dr. Haghverdian adores working with children and has 4 small children of her own!
Since 2021, she has been working as as a school screener through the Santa Clarita Valley School Screening Program, providing exams and screening for school children throughout the SCV.
Moreover, Dr. Haghverdian is passionate about myopia control and as a myopic patient herself having worn glasses since the age of 5, she is whole-heartedly invested in the future of children's eyesight. She was certified through CooperVision for fitting MiSight Contact Lenses for Myopia Control.
WESTERN UNIVERSITY AUXILIARY FACULTY
Another passion of Dr. Haghverdian has always been teaching and since 2020, she has served as a member of the Auxiliary Clinical Faculty mentoring first and second year optometry students through the Western University Clerkship Program. In 2022, she received the Western University Preceptorship Appreciation Award.
MENTORING
Additionally, Dr. Haghverdian mentors prospective optometry students with an internship opportunity at her office. She allows students to shadow at the clinic, spends time to mentor them, helps them with preparing for their OATs, and provides Recommendation letters when requested. She loves teaching and spending time with those that are just as passionate about optometry as she is!

Dr. Haghverdian takes tremendous pride in providing her patients with the highest level of care, whether she is writing a prescription, treating a medical condition or referring patients for a surgical consult. She chooses to work with only the most experienced surgeons who also use state-of-art technology.
CALIFORNIA OPTOMETRIC ASSOCIATION
Subsequently, she is also part of the COA and takes pride in actively advocating for her profession.
The doctor lives with the moto that “impossible is nothing” and that anything can be achieved with passion, dedication, and hard work. She had her daughter during her third year of her optometry school, persevered to graduate with her class, and managed to do so with honors. Then, after 4 months after giving birth to her son, she bravely took on the venture of opening her own practice and could not be happier because impossible is truly nothing when you put your mind to it. She is now the doting mother of 4 children, 2 beautiful daughters and 2 handsome sons!
